Radio Go Box-A Fresh Idea

I have been looking at all the different Radio go boxes on line and I have not found one that talks to me. All I have seen look good and function well, but I really don't like the idea of mounting everything in a box and working out of that box. I am working on a go box that would contain a complete station. The box I am planning around is the Plano 1819 Sportsman Trunk. This platform has many advantages such as big but not too big to move around. I would like any ideas out there, just remember I want the complete station. Check out the box at the link.

  1. That certainly looks like a nice container, but one thing I've encountered isn't so much size, but weight. The bigger the box, the more stuff we tend to throw into it. Suddenly an easy-to-maneuver box becomes an anchor. I didn't see any Plano boxes with wheels, after a quick look around their site. Just a thought...looking forward to follow-up information on what direction you decide to go. 73 de K5JAW

  2. I agree with your thoughts, this box does have 2 wheels, I was thinking about several ways to prevent it from becoming a rats nest. Clean and orderly is the buzz word. Please keep an eye out here, more to come!

  5. Thanks. It was a while since I had done some woodwork, but I think it turned out well.
